Our house |
You got it! Finally pics of our house. Thanks to my mom asking everyday when they will be up. I was trying to get the pics when the house was clean! We love our house and really don't deserve this nice of a home and definitely didn't expect it. We feel very safe here and know that God's hand is protecting us. Thank you to all who have prayed for us and our fellow missionaries here. Click on the link above to see our home!
I want to write out a portion from Aaron's journal of some funny things that was said here.
"Today I made two funny language mistakes. This morning I left our house helper, Yolanda, the following note: 'Correr los mangos, por favor', which translates to 'Run the mangos, please'. When I went to class this morning we went over verbs and I quickly realized that I had written the wrong verb. I meant to say 'Cut the mangos, please' which is the verb Cortar. My second mistake happened later in the morning when I asked my teacher the following: 'Como esta su pedo?' Which translates 'How is your fart?'. I meant to ask her 'Como esta su dedo?' Which is 'how is your finger?' She busted out laughing and informed me and the class of what I actually said. Her sutured finger is doing fine!"
Just thought you might enjoy that entry. We have found that my perfectionistic side of me doesn't want me to talk until I have everything put together perfectly. I am trying to break through this and just talk as much as I can. Pray that I will be successful.
Last weekend Aaron and I went on a date to LaPaz Waterfalls. Below is the link to see the most beautiful pictures that were taken there. We had a great day and wanted to try to share some of the beauty with you. Enjoy!

Great pictures. I like the personal anecdotes.
Love, Dad
Nice place! God is good! If Yolanda ever wants to come visit the states, she can come visit at my house ; ) Your floors are amazingly shiny. Tile is not easy to keep that clean.
Got your email and you are welcome.
I know how Jadon likes to get mail, I'll probably sent the girls something every few weeks like a card or postcard. Jadon may send something too.
Love and hugs all around~

I introduced myself once to a group of Mexican children as a table. I meant to say that my name is April, "como el mes" (like the month). Instead, I said that I was April, "como la mesa" (like the table).
Oops.
I also wanted to say how much I enjoyed looking at the pictures of your home. We have what is considered by most Americans to be a pretty small house, and I've worried where we will put our kids when we have them. But seeing Mylie and Evie's little room with their beds almost side by side, and seeing how happy they are (they probably couldn't care less!), reminded me of how spoiled we really are. We don't need a room for every child and a home office and a guest room and a "master bathroom." We have so much more than we need as it is--now all I need is a little more gratitude! Thanks for this post!
