God Mountain's Fall Festival

We visited God's Mountain Youth Camp for their Fall Festival and enjoyed a beautiful fall day to be outdoors. While there we had a complementary picture taken of our family by volunteers working at the Fall Festival. It has been fun to find places we can visit with family before we leave. It was a blessing to have my sister (Mylee and Evie's Aunt Lauren) in town as well to hang out with. God's Mountain is a camp that has been built from ground up just by donations and volunteer labor. This is one of Mylee's favorite places to visit because she can run and play all day. We will be returning to the mountain for the last time, November 30, before we leave for the mission field.

Getting Excited!

We have ten and a half days before we leave for the Appointment Ceremony Week in Springfield, Illinois. You know you are excited when you have had a countdown going for a month. Both of the girls haven't been feeling well this past weekend, but are doing lots better today. I saw Evie cutting a molar on the bottom so that equals 4 molars coming in at the same time. The child is messed up at this point. But we will get through just as every other kid has done. The good news is they may feel better before time to leave for the Appointment Ceremony.

I am due to be done with work on November 30. Please pray that the girls would be okay with daycare for a couple more weeks. We tell Mylee constantly "just a little bit longer". Aaron has planned to be done December 31st. So just a little bit longer. Pray that our minds will stay in these jobs even though our hearts aren't here anymore. I have been finding small mindless mistakes in my work that I have no excuse for making. I am not getting in trouble or anything just frustrated when I have to go back to fix them.

This past Friday we took in a little bit of Mexico when we went and watched Bull Riding down at Kemper Arena. Dad had won four tickets from work. We had a really good time watching and cheering for the different riders, and the girls had fun making googly eyes at the cowboy down the row from us. OH Boy! It is already starting. Lord help us!

We had a late Friday night and an early Saturday morning as Mom and Evie cleaned up the church nursery, and Aaron cleaned and pruned the church grounds. While Mylee, Dad and I cleaned up Van Horn High School grounds. Except one time I looked over and Mylee was eating a doughnut in one hand and digging in the dirt with the other hand. Then looked over and watched her log rolling in the dirt. I couldn't believe it. Good thing baths were after and not before the work day.

So there you have a run down about our weekend. Continue to keep your eyes peeled for those Volkswagon beetles, and shoot a prayer for us and the people of Puebla, Mexico every time. May God bless your week.

Finally Settled!

Congratulations! You have found our new website and a new way to keep up with what is going on with us. So, to bring you up-to-date, we have sold our home, sold everything in our home, and moved in with my parents, to ready ourselves for the mission field. With a little adjusting we have finally fit into Mom and Dad's home, stuff, kids, and all. However we only have a little bit left from our 4 garage sales this summer. We are also about a month and a half out from being debt free. Then I get to stay home with the girls as well.
We are 19 days out from the day we leave for the Appointment Week in Springfield, Illinois. We will be flying out on November 3, and Mom and Dad will drive with the girls on November 5. Pray that this week will be an uplifting time not only for us but for family as well.
Please list this sight as one of your favorites, so that you remember to check it weekly. I will be able to put pictures on the page as well as updates on where we are in the process. Please know your prayers are being heard and we are definitely feeling the affects of them. May God bless the rest of your week!
